About Wedrang

Practical Import, Export & Global Sourcing Guides

Wedrang helps readers understand international trade—from finding suppliers and preparing export documents to comparing shipping options and asking better questions before an order.

Our purpose

Cross-border business involves unfamiliar documents, different markets and decisions that affect cost and delivery. Our aim is to explain these subjects in clear language, with useful checklists, examples and context.

We write for people starting to export, small businesses researching overseas sourcing, and buyers comparing suppliers. A guide should help you understand your next step and what still needs checking for your particular transaction.

What we cover

  • Start Exporting: enquiries, quotations, order planning and export basics.
  • Export Documents: proforma invoices, commercial documents and paperwork explained.
  • Shipping & Logistics: freight options, delivery responsibilities and shipment planning.
  • International Payments: payment methods, transaction terms and practical questions for providers.
  • Find Buyers & Suppliers: sourcing, communication and due diligence.
  • Products & Industries: industry-specific sourcing and trade considerations.
  • Country & Market Guides: destination-specific context and requirements to verify.

Our editorial standards

  • Sources: identify the authority, original document or provider behind important claims. Prefer customs authorities, government trade bodies and official service documentation.
  • Context: state the country, product and date when they affect a requirement. Separate general guidance from examples and firsthand experience.
  • Authorship: use a byline only for actual contributions. Name a reviewer only after a real review, with its scope where useful.
  • Updates: check changing requirements before relying on them and explain material corrections.
  • Commercial transparency: disclose relevant ownership, sponsorship, affiliate links and supplier relationships alongside the content.

These are the standards for the revised International Trade direction. They do not certify that every existing article has already been checked against them.

Supplier listings and business interests

A supplier being mentioned in an article does not, by itself, establish that it is verified or recommended. Any verification claim should state what was checked and when. Readers should assess the supplier, product specifications, documents and transaction terms independently before placing an order.

Wedrang is co-owned by Soham Patel and Dr. Umang Patel. Any relevant connection between an author, a supplier or a product should be disclosed. Paid placement should be identified clearly.

The scope of our guides

Wedrang provides educational information. Requirements depend on the product, origin, destination and transaction. Check current information with the relevant authority, bank, carrier or qualified adviser before acting. Our articles do not replace transaction-specific customs, legal, tax or financial advice.
